Alright, so that's not really fair. It was fine. It tasted exactly like I expected it to, and it tasted just fine for what it was.
It tasted exactly like Hamburger Helper.
In retrospect I should have seen this coming. After all this recipe from Rachael Ray's Just In Time! cookbook is called "Mac 'n Cheese 'n Burgers." That's certainly not a far cry from HH's 'Cheeseburger Macaroni'.
I guess tonight fell somewhere between a hit and a miss. Chris liked it, and like I said, it tasted just fine, but I really don't like Hamburger Helper, and that's all I could think about while eating. Which just meant more Caesar Salad for me.
